8 Godfathers In The Gay Rights Mafia March 26, 2013

The gay rights mafia is known for censoring, threatening, and hating anyone who even remotely demonstrates even a slight opposition to gay marriage and/or gay rights.

Examples of that behavior abound. Here are 7 leaders who have promoted intolerance and stupidity about traditional family values.

1. Dan Savage

Probably best known for licking doorknobs to infect Presidential candidate Gary Bauer's staff with the flu during the Republican Primary in 2000, he also ironically used his anti-bullying platform to bully teenagers.

Yes, you read that right. He bullied teenagers. At least verbally.

During a profanity-laced rant directed against the Holy Bible, as many as 100 high school students walked out. Savage decided to use his speaking platform to mock "the Bible guys" who walked out on him. True tolerance, huh?

2. Rick Caruso

This clown is probably not somebody you have heard about. He's a southern California real estate developer who banned boxing champion Manny Pacquiao from his shopping mall after Pacquiao dared to speak out against gay marriage.

In announcing Pacquiao's banning, Caruso tweeted that his shopping mall, called The Grove, was "not a place for intolerance." The priceless irony that he was promoting intolerance of opposing viewpoints while tweeting this was apparently lost on him.

As of now, we still don't think that he banned gay-hating Muslims from his mall.

3. Sandra Fluke

If the others are godfathers in the gay rights mafia, perhaps Sandra Fluke is a godmother.

Nah. They're probably all godmothers.

Sandra Fluke was thrust into the national spotlight by lying about how difficult it was for college students to obtain birth control.

Since then, she's not learned anything about making outrageous statements. While in Europe recently, she said that President Obama didn't go far enough when he repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" because - wait for it - transgendered people still aren't allowed to serve in the military.

Oh, did you think that we were done once gays were let into the military? Nope. The problem with liberals is that they are never done. There will always be a deeper form of perversion that they will want normalized.

4. Perez Hilton

A lot of people heard about Perez Hilton for the first time back in 2009. He was a Miss USA judge who questioned Miss California about gay marriage. Miss California, also known as Carrie Prejean, answered that she believed that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Perez shook his head in disgust at this response, and some think that her answer may have cost her the crown.

Hilton went on to make a YouTube video calling Prejean a "dumb bitch". Because that's what tolerant people do, right?

But Hilton learned the hard way that people reap what they sow. Some time later, Hilton ended up in a shouting match with pop star will.i.am. During the altercation, Perez Hilton called will.i.am a "fucking faggot" and ended up getting punched in the face by the singer's manager. In response, Hilton released a weepy video telling people that will.i.am was an awful human being.

Hilton earned the wrath of GLAAD (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) by using the f-word during his exchange with will.i.am. Of course, by "f-word" we mean "faggot" not "fucking". Hilton viewed this as a further attack on him, claiming that he was "saddened that GLAAD chose to victimize [him] further..." Eventually, Hilton did apologize.

5. Jack Black

Also back in 2009, sometimes comedian Jack Black made a video condemning California's Proposition 8. This is a proposition that banned gay marriage in the state, and was passed by referendum during the same year (2008) that President Obama won that state by a wide margin.

The video was uploaded to the comedy web site "Funny Or Die". It was definitely more "die" than "funny".

In the video, Black plays Jesus. But that's only humorous thing about it. The video is filled with oh-so-intellectual arguments like "Why should we believe the condemnation of homosexuality in Leviticus when Leviticus condemns eating shrimp?"

True, but Leviticus also condemns bestiality. Does Black think that it's okay to bang a goat because Leviticus also condemns eating shrimp? We hope not.

6. Rich Ferraro

Rich Ferraro is the spokesgay for GLAAD. Recently, he was furious when two Fox News hosts attended the GLAAD media awards event in New York. Of course, his objection to Fox News hosts attending the event was based on the fact that Fox has the audacity to actually question the societal benefit of gay marriage more than other networks.

However, it looks like Mr./Ms. Ferraro may have stuck his foot in his mouth (but perhaps he goes for that). It turns out that a GLAAD executive actually invited Fox News hosts to the event. This news forced Ferraro to issue an "oh yeah I didn't really mean that" kind of response.

During the non-apology apology, Ferraro claimed that his organization had received a "flurry of complaints" that just 1 day after the media event, Fox had the audacity invite Tony Perkins (head of the Family Research Council) on its air to promote the idea that homosexuality is "overwhelmingly negative to both the individual and society."

But Tony Perkins has also been on CNN. He has also been on [gasp!] MSNBC. So why does Ferraro only have a problem with Perkins appearing on Fox?

7. Rahm Emanuel

The "never let a good crisis go to waste" godfather is Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel. When Chik-Fil-A president Dan Cathy publicly stated his support for traditional marriage (or, as he put it, "the biblical definition of the family unit"), Emanuel threw a Chicago-sized temper tantrum.

"Chik-Fil-A's values are not Chicago's values," said the godfather. No, that awfully high murder rate seems to be a better reflection of "Chicago's values".

Oh, by the way, Rahm Emanuel worked for a guy named Barack Obama (as his chief of staff) when Obama was still against gay marriage!. We're still waiting on The Huffington Post to notice that.

8. President Barack Obama

We saved the worst for last, of course. The True Preacher of Social Darwinism, who publicly "evolved" into supporting gay marriage, is by far the godfather of all godfathers.

As a living example of the fact that the "slippery slope" argument is not a logical fallacy, President Obama started his campaign in 2008 as someone who was against gay marriage. During his first term, he then said that he was "evolving" on the issue, and everyone with a pulse rate knew exactly what that meant: That one day President Obama would quit pretending that he is against gay marriage. And one day, sure enough, he did.

Since then, President Obama has come out (a significant term) as a strong supporter of gay rights, further bolstering the anger directed against those who support traditional family values.

Color us reactionary, but we admire people who stick to their convictions, rather than being tossed about by public opinion polling. In short: A President should be a leader, not a follower.

Or a godfather.
