Christian Tim Tebow Won't Speak At Christian Church Because It Promotes Christian Values February 21, 2013
Famous NFL quarterback Tim Tebow apparently has a problem with speaking at a Christian church which promotes Biblical values.
He's cancelled his appearance, scheduled for April 28, and it looks like he has done so in response to pressure he has received from people who think that the Bible isn't politically correct enough.
The pastor at the church, Dr. Robert Jeffress, has made several "gay is bad" comments. We're going out on a limb here, but we think that this might be because the Bible, which Dr. Jefress purports to believe, contains several "gay is bad" verses.
Of course, the fact that there are people who hold true to Biblical morality doesn't sit well with the media elite and pop culture perverts. One jackass, named Gregg Doyel, even compared Dr. Jefress to the Westboro Baptist Church cult.
We've all seen Dr. Jeffress protesting military funerals while holding up a sign that reads "Thank God for dead soldiers", right?
Anyway, Tebow seems to be surprised that Christian values aren't popular among those who are not Christians. Jesus already spoke about that: "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." - John 15:19.
Maybe Tebow doesn't take the Bible as seriously as we thought he did.
