"If I were American, I'd vote for Obama," Chavez said in a televised interview that aired Sunday, according to the Associated Press.

Chavez is seeking another six-year term in an election next weekend. According to Reuters, he's confident that if it were possible, he'd have Obama's support.

"Obama is a good guy... I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighborhood, he'd vote for Chavez," he said.
