You see, Richard Dawkins thinks that Mitt Romney is stupid. He believes that Mitt Romney is stupid because Mitt Romney is a Mormon.

That's it. That's all he's got.

We don't object so much to his ridculous outburst about Mitt Romney ("No matter how much you agree with Romney's economic policy, can you really vote for such a massively gullible fool? He is a Mormon Bishop!"), but we use this to once again point out the double-standard in the lamestream media.

Point of fact: Dawkins is an atheist. A very outspoken atheist. He believes in evolution. He really believes in evolution. So he is no social conservative.

Therefore: the lamestream media loves him.

And this means that very few, if any, members of said lamestream media will criticize Mr. Dawkins for his anti-Mormon rant.

Let's turn the tables. Suppose it was Pat Robertson instead of Richard Dawkins who said something like this. Further, suppose Pat Robertson made the following statement about a Muslim candidate for office: "No matter how much you agree with [candidate's name], can you really vote for such a massively gullible fool? He is a Muslim!"

And now you know where this is going. If Robertson had said something like that, it would be the headline on Mediaite and every left-wing blog in the country within 5 minutes.

But anti-religious bigotry is okay as long as the bigot is on the left side of the political spectrum.
