In that video, he advises parents not to teach their children about creationism. "I say to the grownups, 'If you want to deny evolution and live in your world that's completely inconsistent with everything we've observed in the universe that's fine. But don't make your kids do it,'" Nye said.

Nye continues: "When you have a portion of the population that doesn't believe in (evolution) it holds everybody back, really." That's pretty funny because there was this dude named Isaac Newton who didn't believe in evolution and he seemed to do okay from a scientific perspective.

Without the teaching of evolution, Nye says, "You're just not going to get the right answers." Of course, by "right" answers, he means the ones that support social and political liberalism, like global warming climate change and evolution.

Evolutionary scientists can't seem to get plant evolution right. They once taught us that homo habilis evolved into homo erectus, until they changed their minds about that. And they once taught us, for more than 100 years, that Neanderthals were ancestors to humans, until they changed their minds about that.

The point is this: If scientists can't be sure about the finer points of evolutionary theory, then why should we believe them when they tell us that evolution even happened?

That's a rhetorical question, actually.
