Focus Group: That Ad Showing Former Obama Supporters Is Pretty Effective August 27, 2012
Perhaps you have already seen the following ad from Americans For Prosperity:
The ad depicts former Obama supporters basically lamenting their support for the President in 2008. Of course, unlike the a recent Obama ad which depicts a Democratic woman as a Republican, the people in the AFP ad are genuine articles.
That ad registers with swing voters. Specifically, it registers with people who voted for Obama in 2008 but are evenly split between Obama and Romney in 2012.
60% of a Frank Luntz focus group, which reflected that split, rated that ad as most effective.
It's also worth noting that the ad has the financial support of the - gasp! - Koch Brothers!
No wonder Democrats hate the Koch Brothers so much. They finance effective anti-Obama campaign ads.
