Mitt Romney leads by 1 (47-46), so it's still a statistical dead heat.

However, we once again emphasize that polls which use registered, rather than likely, voters tend to favor Democrats. Since this poll uses registered voters, this is really good news for Barack Obama.

The President has a 50% approval rating in that poll overall, but he only has a 44% approval rating with regards to his handling of the economy. Unfortunately, we actually live in a country where the 44% who approve of the way that President Obama is handling the economy are allowed to vote.

67% believe that the country is on the wrong track.
