He was at one time, and Matt Lauer has the quotation to prove it.

So when he interviewed Stephanie (aka "Cutie") Cutter this morning, he asked her all about the Obama quotation, in which the President said that Ryan is "absolutely sincere about wanting to reduce the budget" and called his budget "a legitimate proposal".

Cutie Cutter filibustered with the usual class warmongering. That's all she has.

At which point Mr. Lauer, realizing that he had given Cutie Cutter plenty of rope with which she hanged herself willfully, asked about another Obama quotation: "We're not going to be able to do anything about these entitlements if what we do is characterize whatever proposals are out there as, 'Well, that's the other party being irresponsible, the other party trying to hurt our senior citizens.'"

"Which sounds exactly like what you just did," Lauer retorted to Cutie Cutter.

Cutie Cutter smiled and filibustered again. The usual talking points. Middle class. Clean energy. Yadda yadda yadda.

She has nothing else.

Poor Cutie Cutter.
