The Hill is reporting that the response ad will now start running in Iowa. This is significant because Iowa is a swing state this year. Rasmussen has Romney up by 2 in that state. Running this ad could be the icing on the cake.

We suspect that the Romney campaign will run the ad for a while in Iowa, then reassess the polling data. If it looks like it was a successful counter-punch, then you can expect to see the ad running in other swing states.
