Cutie Cutter Revises And Extends Her Remarks: 'We're Not Accusing Mitt Romney Of Committing A Crime' July 16, 2012
In spite of the fact that she was just on a Sunday show yesterday, Stephanie "Cutie" Cutter apparently felt obligated to talk to Wolf Blitzer today.
And in so doing, she — ahem — clarified her "Romney might be a felon" charge from last Friday.
"We're not accusing Mitt Romney of committing a crime here; we're actually saying that he's misrepresenting his time at Bain to the American people."
We're not sure why she felt that she needed to say that. Who could possibly assume that she was accusing Romney of committing a crime when she used the word "felon" to describe Romney's actions?
Clearly, only someone who is paranoid would make such a leap.
Nevertheless, Cutie Cutter probably got some feedback from internal polling and/or focus groups that indicate that calling her political opponent a felon without solid evidence was creating a backlash.
And thus she spoke to Wolf Blitzer to clear the air.
Here's the interview:
