At a North Carolina Democratic party dinner last night, Vice President Biden's son unwittingly insulted that state's Democratic governor.

"I've never met a successful politician who didn't run again," said Beau Biden, Delaware Attorney General and the Veep's son.

Problem: North Carolina Democratic Governor Bev Perdue isn't running for office again.

Because, like Obama, her record sucks.

The Raleigh News & Observer reported that the crowd "collectively groaned" at that statement.

Conservatives are collectively laughing.

Apparently being gaffe-prone runs in the Biden family. Further evidence that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.
