MSNBC's Chris Hayes: We Need More Intelligence Leaks, Not Less June 11, 2012
|
Chris Hayes apparently hasn't learned anything after his "I am uncomfortable calling fallen soldiers 'heroes'" gaffe, because he said something monumentally stupid on the Today show this morning.
The producers at the Today show scheduled him with Meghan McCain, apparently because they wanted to seat him next to someone who would actually make him seem relevant.
The subject of national security came up, and specifically the allegations of intelligence leaks coming out of the White House which make the President look good, but jeopardize our interests abroad.
Meghan McCain, taking a break from being "strictly dickly", gave an answer that no one cares about. Because she's Meghan McCain.
And then Chris Hayes gave this absurd analysis: "I think we need more leaks and not less. I actually think that... that we should know how the war is operating and what's going on with a... a kill list that's operating out of the White House or what in covert ac... ac... activity we're engaged in."
And there you have it. National security be damned, Chris Hayes wants to know what "covert ac... ac... activity" we're engaged in.
To this end, we have actually Googled the word "covert" for the benefit of Chris Hayes.
It means "secret" or "hidden".
The point being: If the chattering class amongst the lamestream media know about it, it is not covert.
In short: Chris Hayes wants a square circle.
Have a look at the video below. Fast forward it to the :50 mark if you want to ignore Ms. McCain's pointless banter.
