Don Rickles Tells A Racially Charged 'Joke' About Obama June 9, 2012

If you're wondering why you haven't heard much about Don Rickles as a comedian lately, you're about to find out.

During an award ceremony honoring Shirley MacLaine (someone else we haven't heard much about lately), Rickles reportedly delivered a the following "joke":

"I shouldn't make fun of the blacks," Rickles began. "President Obama is a personal friend of mine. He was over to the house yesterday, but the mop broke."

Wow. That is hillllllllllarious!

Seriously: If Mr. Rickles is going to take a stab at humor that isn't politically correct, couldn't he at least try to tell a joke that is actually funny?

And beginning any sentence with "I shouldn't make fun of the blacks" makes it abundantly clear to everybody that you are at least 80 years old and your parents warned you about "negroes" when you were growing up.

But one thing is for sure, Don Rickles will definitely not be the comedy headline for Sarah Jessica Parker's upcoming fundraising party for Barack Obama.
