Quinnipiac Has Romney Up By 6 In Florida May 23, 2012
|
We're focused on the Obama/Romney matchup in swing states around here.
The Presidential election is, after all, a state-by-state election for electoral votes. Not a national popular election.
And it's beyond dispute that Florida is a swing state.
So this is welcome news.
According to Quinnipiac, Romney leads Obama by 6 in Florida. And if Romney adds Rubio to the ticket, he leads by 8.
And the trend is not Obama's friend. On May 3, Romney led by only 1. In March, Obama led by 7.
In other words, that "bitter GOP primary" effect on Romney's candidacy is already a thing of the past.
We'll keep an eye out for polls in other swing states, as those states will undoubtedly decide the Presidential election.
