Your Tax Dollars At Work: $20 Million To Promote An Unconstitutional Law May 22, 2012
|
The Health and Human Services Department has hired a professional public relations firm to promote part of ObamaCare.
At the cost, to you the hard-working taxpayer, of $20 million.
They do this because they suck.
The campaign was actually mandated by ObamaCare itself, but we think that Kathleen Sebelius, who heads the HHS, could have the decency to at least wait until the Supreme Court of the United States declares whether or not the law is unconstitutional.
As the title implies: We think it's unconstitutional.
And we think that a majority of justices sitting on the Supreme Court will think it's unconstitutional.
So this is a complete waste, at least in part, of $20 million taxpayer dollars if, in fact, the majority of the nine wise ones strike down the law.
And they probably will.
And we say "in part" because apparently part of this campaign "must describe the importance of prevention."
Our guess is that "the importance of prevention" will be some promotional pieces about how to stay healthy and avoid getting sick.
So all $20 million is not lost to defending that horsecrap of legislation we call ObamaCare.
It would be nice, however, if Kathleen Sebelius could understand "the importance of prevention" when it comes to wasting taxpayer dollars.
