Dem Invokes Mormon Polygamy In Slamming Romney, Then Apologizes May 18, 2012
We think we're going to see a lot of this in the months ahead.
A lot of Democrats slamming Romney's faith, and then apologizing later.
And sometimes not apologizing later.
Especially if he's ahead in the polls.
In an interview with CNN, North Carolina State Rep. Alma Adams said that Romney would struggle with social conservatives because Mormons allow men to have multiple wives.
One problem: Mormons don't allow men to have multiple wives.
Not since the 19th century.
In fact, they consider it a sin.
And here's the really dumb thing about this: She thought that social conservatives who voted for the Marriage Amendment in North Carolina, would have problems voting for Romney because of that whole polygamy thing.
We're fairly certain that Mitt Romney could have as many wives as King Solomon and social conservatives would vote for him.
Most social conservatives would vote for a wounded baboon over Obama.
Ms. Adams later apologized for her statement, which we think is cool.
We also think that she's not the last one to take that line of attack.
