MTV Starting New Reality Show About People Losing Their Virginity May 18, 2012

Well, at least they're confining the casting call to people who are 18 and older.

Then again, good luck finding 18-year-old virgins in the culture that MTV has given us.

The headline in the casting call reads: "DO YOU WANT TO TAKE THINGS TO THE NEXT LEVEL? LIKE, ARE YOU READY TO HAND OVER YOUR V CARD? OR DO YOU HAVE A FRIEND WHO IS READY TO LOSE IT?"

Please note: If you have a friend who's ready to "lose it", and you notify MTV to hound them about it, then we're pretty sure that you will end up losing that friend.

But hey, if you want to bang someone for the first time, there's nothing so romantic as having an MTV production crew follow you around on your journey to the ultimate ecstasy.

Please keep in mind, though, that MTV does intend to keep certain things sacred: "We will be filming whether or not you accomplish this goal... but NOT the act itself. Duh."

We're glad that the author added the "Duh" because we weren't sure if he was serious or not.

And we're also looking forward to that episode where some poor schmuck tries, for 16 episodes, to get laid and then falls flat on his face.

But we have to wonder: What does the gay rights mafia think about all of this? If you read the casting call, it looks like it's exclusive to heterosexuals: "Have you never had much luck with the opposite sex? Why haven't you gone after this before? Are you and your boy/girlfriend interested in losing it together?"

Funny. We've never though of MTV as homophobic.
