Ann Romney Says There Is A 'Wild And Crazy Man' Inside Her Husband May 1, 2012
So Mitt Romney reminds his wife of Steve Martin?
Ann Romney, who is the Romney campaign's worst-kept secret, yet most powerful weapon told CBS News this morning that "there is a wild and crazy man" inside her husband.
We have our doubts. Look, if a Mormon can dance as well as Obama did with Ellen Degeneres, then some very important stereotypes will be shattered.
From The Hill: "Ann, who herself has turned into a powerful force on the campaign trail in recent weeks, said that one of the most gratifying parts of being on the road was seeing people at rallies surprised by Romney's ability to connect to voters."
We'd like to see him connect with voters in swing states, particularly. Then those states can send the dog-eater back to Chicago, where he will still be young enough to play himself in the upcoming (and sympathetic) Hollywood movie about him.
But that movie probably won't show Obama eating dog as a youth in Indonesia.
And Ralph Fiennes will play Boehner. Because he played Voldemort in the Harry Potter series and Hollywood will be looking to someone with a history as a "bad guy".
But moving on. Ann Romney says her husband is cool.
Responding to the "stiff" narrative, Romney himself seemed to debate the point that Ann was making: "I actually think the American people are going to vote for someone who they think is going to make their lives better, and right now you have a lot of people who are having a very hard time making ends meet."
Ha! Take that, wife!
Romney did not hi-5 the interviewer after saying that.
He went on to say that "the people of this country will vote on the issue they care about most" and were looking for a candidate "who can get America's economy right again."
Which, roughly translated, means that we won't see Mitt Romney at a party with a lampshade on his head anytime soon.
