Reid: We'll Just Say 'No' To Keystone Pipeline April 24, 2012
The Democrats continue to declare war on energy.
And leave it to Harry "the war in Iraq is lost" Reid to lead the charge.
House Republicans would like to include approval of the Keystone oil pipeline in a transportation funding bill.
But Dingy Harry will have none of it.
"Personally, I'm not — I'm not one of the conferees, but personally I think Keystone is a program that we're not going — that I am not going to help in any way I can," said the Senate Majority Leader, who apparently speaks English as a second language.
And with gas prices as high as they are, we think it's great that Democrats continue to oppose energy production. It gives the American people a chance to see what Democrats are all about: strangling the U.S. economy so that they can cater to the perverse special interest groups that make up so much of their party.
And it is telling that the only Democrat in the conference who voted in favor of Keystone is Max Baucus. Max Baucus isn't even running for re-election.
You see, Democrats tend to vote in favor of legislation that is actually good for the economy when they don't have to worry about facing the environmental extremists in their party.
We're looking forward to seeing how this one plays out in an election year — especially an election year in which energy prices are weighing heavily on the minds of millions of American voters.
They can thank the Democrats for their "Just Say No" attitude to lower prices.
